Yvette's success has been a long and hard journey and she knows there is no greater industry than the service industry. Over the past few decades, she and her family have helped thousands of salon and beauty professionals grow their businesses. Having completed nearly a decade of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, Yvette received a variety of accolades for her communication, information technology and leadership skills. That self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit prepared her for the next chapter of her career.

In 1992, Yvette Carlton, fourth generation, was named Vice-President and Director of Sales for Big Show Expo. Yvette credits her late father, Jon Carlton for teaching her an unwavering work ethic. Alongside her grandmother, Bernice Calvin, the legendary trailblazer, first female Founder of the largest Ethnic traveling Beauty Show in the country, they hosted educational shows from Memphis, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and the Bahamas.

One of Yvette's proudest accomplishments was co-creating the Nubian and Latino Beauty Show at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. Most of the shows had over 50,000 attendees. After spending nearly a decade working in sales, marketing, and accounting for multimillion-dollar brands and startups, such as Best Buy, Sprint PCS and Sprint/T-Mobile, First Alert, and Ford, Yvette knows what truly drives profits and conversions. This unique blend of experience allows for a deeper level of engagement than the typical CFO.
